Gildan Care Package review

I got the great chance to review some Gildan items for a great promotion that is going on now through November 15th. Their Touch Downs for Tuition is a great sweepstakes, you can win up to a $10,000 scholarship (no matter age of child) and a family (family of 4) trip to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. They are also giving away 25 daily prizes that include their College Care Packages! (More in a minute on those) Enter here to win!

Now to the care packages! Right now through November 15, 2011, for every College Care Package that is purchased for $39.99 ($65 value) Gildan will donate a special care package to My Stuff Bags. My Stuff Bags has donated over 400,000 bags since they started in 1998! Their bags include a variety of items to bring children the comfort they need. You can purchase a care package for someone you love and know that one will be donated to another child in need. I know children that were in foster care and I think getting a special package to call their own from My Stuff Bags would really help them with a difficult transition. I also know that a college student will LOVE a care package! I used to check the mail every day hoping I had a package full of goodies! You can check HERE what is all listed in the care packages, there is a slight variation between men and women's.

My care package was slightly different but I loved it! This is what I got:
  • 2 packages of Gildan socks (New socks are like walking on heaven)
  • 3 2000L T-Shirts in Red, blue, and pink (like above pink shirt)
  • A sport crew sweatshirt bluish/gray color
  • A big Gildan tote, that Velcros shut!

I loved all the items. I ordered a size Medium for my package which is the normal size I wear. All the items fit, but the sweatshirt seemed a little short in the sleeves. It was still super comfortable! I would recommend these care packages to any! Who does not need socks, shirts, etc?? They are made of great quality and are super comfortable. Plus, you will be helping out a great cause with the  My Stuff Bags!!

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Review

So personally I find it hilarious when celebrities have fashion oops on the red carpet. It shows that they are human, and it also makes me giggle. (I know I am mean sometimes) Also, it means that these celebrities do not know about Hollywood Fashion Secrets. I know about them, and I love their products, I just wish this meant I was a celebrity! Thankfully Hollywood Fashion Secrets are available to everyone, and they are amazing! Added bonus for my local ladies, they are made in Minneapolis, MN.

I was more than excited when I was sent their "Fall Favorites". I have been waiting for awhile to do this review, as I wanted to wait until I was able to use all the products I was sent. Here is a description off all I was sent and my opinions of them!

  • 30 sheets ea. come in a 2 pack
  • Reminds me of those sheets you use to remove the oil from your face, (they have those too!) but these remove lint from your clothes.
  • Super convenient, I keep one in my purse and it it great for on the go touch ups!
  • Strong & Powerful, and last more than one sweep of your shirt!
  • Definitely recommend

  • Clear double sided stick tape to hold garments in place
  • This would help many celebrities with their "nip slips"
  • Works great with buttoned up shirts from that gaping in between buttons
  • Holds up a tube top great
  • Made from 3M Hypo Allergenic fabric friendly strips
  • These are a must have!

  • I was terrified of this at first! I thought it would for sure rip my sweater wide open, not get rid of the pilling and fuzz!
  • I definitely did the garment test like it recommends, because I was so nervous about ruining my clothes.
  • I tried it on my sweater that I thought I would just have to throw away, because the pilling was so bad...it is like a brand new sweater! It took all the fuzz right off, and did not damage my sweater at all!
  • I would definitely test the material first, but this is another must have for the Fall/Winter wardrobe!

  • Do you wear high boots over your jeans in the Fall/Winter? I do and these have made it some much easier to dress!
  • They are straps that you put around your ankles or calves to hold your jeans tight and in place. For me as a runner, I have large calves so I wear mine on my ankles and they work great.
  • Now you don't have to fold your pants into your socks and hope that they stay in place. The straps keep your pants neatly in place and looking nice!
  • Fall/Winter MUST HAVE for boot lovers!!

  •  It is rare, I mean very rare that you  would see me in heels, but on occasion it will happen. Some of my pants look cute with flats, and others well sometimes they just call for a heel to be a little sexier!
  • The Hem Tape is perfect for these times! I can wear the longer pants with the heels and when I want to wear my flats (usually) I just add some Hem Tape.
  • Reminds me of the Fashion Tape, it does its job and works great!
  • If you are between short and tall like me, you can NEVER find pants that fit correctly in the length...I recommend the Hem Tape for times like these!
Overall everything I received in the Fall must have collection was amazing! I would recommend these products to everyone! They are very reasonably priced and they do their job. There are so many items to choose from, check them out!! Get $4.99 Flat Rate Shipping and on orders over $25 FREE shipping! Get all the things you need to make this Fall and Winter season, a great one in fashion!! LIKE them on Facebook too!

Burt's Bees Review

I was super excited when I got picked to review Burt's Bees new Sensitive Skin  facial cleanser and daily moisturizing cream. I have always had break outs and they are annoying and embarrassing, I am not in high school anymore, I just want clear skin. I also have sensitive skin, so finding the right product can be hard as well.

I have tried the Burt's Bees cleanser and cream for over a week now. The first few days my skin felt really smooth. The cleanser takes some getting used to, as it does not really lather so that was weird. The great feelings only last a couple days though. My face broke out even more and using the cleanser and the cream made me feel like I was rubbing in double the lotion. The cleanser as I said does not lather so I feel like I am rubbing lotion into my face. Even after you rinse it off it feels as though there is a residue that is left behind.

I did like the daily moisturizing cream, just not used in combination with the cleanser. My only complaint about the cream was that 3X the amount I need comes out, so I feel like I am wasting so much of it.

Here are some facts about the products:
  • Cleanser is made with Cotton Extract
  • Soap free (Cleanser) and fragrance free(both)
  • Hypo-Allergenic (both)
  • Dermatologist tested (both)
  • Cleanser has rice extract to moisturize and aloe to soothe

So overall the Burt's Bees products did not work out well for me. I felt like I had a residue left on my skin and it did not help clear up my skin, but made it worse.I would recommend the daily moisturizing cream, but personally I can not recommend the cleanser.

I received the above products for free for being a  Bzz Agent in exchange for my honest review. As you read above, those are my honest opinions of the products.

Women of Faith Review

This past weekend I had the great honor of attending the Women of Faith event in St. Paul, MN. I really was not sure what to expect, but I was very excited for it. I have recently found my faith again, and being picked to review this event just seemed like another way God wanted me to know he was here. I knew right away that I wanted to take my mom as my guest. She has attended this event in the past, and has also always been at my side. So if I was gonna have to face emotional things at this event, my mom was the women I wanted there with me.

 (My mom and me)

Things did not work out for us to attend the Friday day time events, so I can not say for sure what that part was like. We did attend the rest of the weekend and boy was I in for an emotional ride I was not prepared for. First let me give a little back info on me. I always thought I had God in my life, I know now he was there, I just didn't let him in. I had a fairly good upbringing. There was some physical abuse (I want to clarify, neither of my parents), I fell in love with the bad boy a few times and got into trouble. My biggest heartache though, was in March of 2006 when I was 11 weeks pregnant and had to have emergency surgery because it was an ectopic pregnancy. So one day I was happily pregnant and the next day I was not. That part of my life was a dark hole that I never truly dealt with. I never understood why if God loved me and was there for me that he would take my baby from me. I was told after that (and other female complications) that my chances of having children were slim to none. My journey back to God, has come with my TWO healthy and beautiful children. Madison was 9 months of trying to conceive and she was our miracle! We did not think we could possibly be blessed again. I lost a great friend to Leukemia (he was only 36), and one week later I found out I was pregnant with Carter. With two miracles, my eyes and my heart have opened back up to my faith in God.

This was my weekend...
Friday night was so much fun! A few weeks ago while watching the Wendy Williams Show, she had a singing act called Mary, Mary (Multiple GRAMMY awards, Dove, Stellar,MOBO,American Music Awards, and Soul Train Winners.) on her show. I had never heard of them, but I liked them and thought they were fun to watch. Well, I was surprised and excited to find out they would be at the Women of Faith Event all weekend! They preformed Friday night and that was a lot of fun.

 (Mary Mary)

Natalie Grant (4 time GMA Female Vocalist of the year) also preformed on Friday night. I thought that her voice was amazing and I really enjoyed listening to her sing. She told a story about he daughter twirling with Jesus and than sang the song HELD (Orange CD) oh boy did I cry. It was such a beautiful story about her daughter and than the song and her voice was so incredible.

Max Lucado book review

My daughter got to be the reviewer this time around and she was very happy. She got to review the book Thank you, God, for blessing me  by Max Lucado. I recently just finished up reading Fearless by Max Lucado and I loved it, so I was very excited for her about this book.
The book is great, it is about a caterpillar named Hermie that as he prays goes through out the garden thanking God for all the great things that God has brought into his life. It is a great book teaching children what to be thankful for. Teaching them what God has given them and to feel blessed for those things.

My daughter really likes the book. It is now an official part of bed time. I read and she points out all the things that Hermie is thankful for in the book. It has also been a great conversation starter, as we than discuss what she is thankful for. Being 3 her usual answers are food, juice boxes, her toys and family (in that order too). I am sure that as she gets older that Hermie will help he to understand even more what great blessings she has in her life.

I would recommend this book to any family that wants to help your children learn about what to be thankful for and how to say thank you to God. This would be a great gift too!

I am a member of Book Sneeze and received this book for free in exchange for my review. My daughter and I gave our honest opinions.

Renuzit Fresh Accent air fresheners review

Being a Purex Insider I was given the opportunity to review the NEW Renuzit Fresh Accent air fresheners. They come in the following scents Winter Berry, and Festive snow.

They are very stylish and come in a two sided holiday design. Guess what, they  retail for around $2!! The scents last up to 30 days as well. You do not need to plug them in, no batteries are needed either. Just put the sent in and pick which design you want front or back and set it down!

(The picture makes it look purple but is the color of this font, a burgundy color.)

This is my experience with them. I love the Winter Berry. The smell is great and is not over powerful. I get migraines easily, and the holiday season smells are the worst for me. I can not even go into some stores during the holiday season, because they put all the smelly stuff right by the door and it is like walking into an instant migraine. So the Winter Berry is wonderful.  I have had it up for over a week and the pleasant smell is still there.

(Again this is not the actual color, this font is a closer comparison, a forest green color.)

The Festive Snow, however is not for me. I put that one in the bathroom, and that was way to strong. I than decided that I would try it in the hallway of my apartment building, still way to strong. Although the smell is not horrible, it reminds me of the smells going to cut down the Christmas tree, the smell is too strong for my nose.

I think if I had a bigger home than it may be fine, but for my sniffer I could not handle it.

These new air fresheners have hit some stores, and will be coming to more stores soon!! Giveaway to come too!!

I am a Purex Insider, and am offered the chance to review products free of charge, in exchange for my honest review. As you can tell from the above post they are my true and honest opinions!

Women of Faith

I know that God has always been in my life, but I have not always been welcoming of that fact. I have had ups and downs along the road and sometimes I have let God in and other times I have left him out in the cold. When I was younger it was hard not to believe because he was the one person I could talk to about all my problems and I wanted to believe that he was there for me. I never had a reason to doubt that.

When I got older and had to live in the real world, well to be honest I had my doubts. My husband and I lost our first baby when I was 11 weeks pregnant. To me that was the point when I shut God out of my life. How could someone possibly be watching over me and loving me when they take my baby? I was so upset and became a different person after that. I lost one of my fallopian tubes when I lost the baby and having endometriosis, I was told my chances of having more children was very slim.Well, someone is up there and they wanted me to know it. I have been blessed with 2 healthy babies and I could not feel more blessed to have them here.

I have been searching for a long time to find my passion in life besides my family. I started Hudson's Coupon Lady because I really enjoyed finding great deals and I wanted to share it with others. This blog has grown in to so much more than I ever thought and with that I have found something I am passionate about. I have also found that I love to run!Running is my way to just be free and I also feel so great about my self after a great run. How could there not be a God when I have found so many great things in my life. Someone has to be guiding me on the right path to get me to where I am today.

I have finally let God back in to my life and I feel so renewed with God in my life. My mother talks about the Women of Faith event every year and how amazing the experience is. I had the chance to apply to attend the event and post about it on my blog. I was picked, and I cant help but think this was another way of God showing me he is still with me. In a few weeks I will attend the weekend event and I cant wait, I am also taking my mom since she has always loved the event. I am hoping that the Women of Faith event with just open my heart up even more to God and let me 100% accept him into my life..for good.

Here is a video preview of the event:

Bijubee Dynasty Yoga Top Review

I received the Dynasty Yoga Top  in black to review and I love it! I instantly had a confidence boost when I put this top on. It sounds strange but it was true. The heart shape cut is the perfect cut. Not too low, looks great and is perfect for work out or everyday. The fit is slimming, and is also very comfortable. The top is made with excellent quality and care.

The Dynasty top is great for Yoga, Pilate's, work outs and even running errands! I was so comfortable in this top, I did not want to take it off. The top has a built in shelf bra and even offers removable bra cups. The label is heat transferred so you don't have an annoying tag scratching your back either.

Please LIKE them on Facebook too! They have special offers and updates available!

I would highly recommend this top to any active person. Or to anyone that wants to wear a top that is beyond comfortable. Bijubee also offers pants, shorts, and accessories. HandMade'ns Crafts Review

My husband is the grill master and that is his domain when it comes to cooking...everything else is mine. My daughter and I love to bake cookies, and cakes, and we LOVE to eat them too! We also rarely eat out, which means I make dinner every night and things can get messy. My thought...we need aprons. I did not want a plain apron, I wanted something cute and feminine. Madison wanted a pretty one too.

I did some searching, and found HandMade'ns Crafts, they had the cutest designs I found. Besides super fun and cute aprons, they also offer bibs, jumpers, purses, bags, and more! They are a mother daughter team, and I think they have a great thing going for them. The quality is great, the colors are perfect and I love the pocket designs. The ruffle at the bottom makes it feminine too. The straps are all tie straps, so you can easily adjust them, this is specifically great for my daughters, she will be able to wear it for a long time! Madison was so excited when she opened hers, she wore it for the entire day and twirled around like a little princess. So besides being a child's apron, Madison discovered it doubles for dress up time!

The aprons are easy to wash, I just threw them in the wash and than let air dry. The aprons offer great coverage and are wider than most aprons I have seen, but it offers a better coverage, and more room to wipe your hands!

With the holiday season approaching I recommend getting one of their awesome aprons, whether you need one or you need a new! Visit their Etsy Shop take a look around and order yours today! If they do not have yours in stock, they are very quick with their sewing! Make your holiday baking a little more fun, the aprons are fun and flirty!!

(I received the 2 aprons I reviewed for free in exchange for my review. The above opinions are my honest review though.)
